Dingle Ducks is part of the Dingle Partnership Foundation Stage Unit (DPFSU).  The emphasis in the Early Years Foundation Stage is on learning through play, with children having the opportunity to engage in a wide range of activities both indoors and in a variety of outdoor play areas.  DPFSU is designed so children can access materials independently and initiate their own activities and this is encouraged when appropriate.
 
The Early Years Foundation Stage includes children who are 3 to 5 years old.  The curriculum and activities are planned jointly with all the DPFSU staff to ensure all aspects are covered.  

Staff planning ensures that all children have opportunities to experience a wide variety of challenging learning experiences and activities appropriate to their needs.  Individual children's progress is carefully monitored and used to inform future planning.
